Refund and Returns Policy

1. General Policy

At Rakshit Travels, we strive to provide our customers with a seamless and enjoyable travel experience. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may require cancellations or modifications. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and returns are processed for our travel services, including tour packages, hotel bookings, transportation, and other travel-related services.


2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

2.1. Tour Packages

A. Cancellation by Customer

  • 30 days or more before departure: Full refund, minus processing fees.
  • 15-29 days before departure: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
  • 7-14 days before departure: 25% refund of the total booking amount.
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund will be issued.

Note: If the tour package includes non-refundable components such as flight tickets, hotel bookings, or permits, their costs will be deducted from the refund amount.

B. Cancellation by Rakshit Travels

  • If Rakshit Travels cancels a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or safety concerns), customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule the trip.
  • In cases where partial services have been availed, a pro-rated refund will be provided.

2.2. Hotel Bookings

  • Refunds are subject to the cancellation policy of the respective hotel.
  • Some hotels have non-refundable policies; in such cases, no refund will be processed.
  • If the booking is canceled 48 hours before check-in, a full refund may be granted (subject to the hotel’s terms).

2.3. Flight & Train Tickets

  • Air and train ticket refunds depend on the airline/railway company’s policies.
  • Non-refundable tickets will not be eligible for any refund.
  • Refund processing times vary based on the airline or railway company’s policies.

2.4. Transportation Services (Car Rentals, Bus Services, etc.)

  • If canceled 7 days before the scheduled date, a full refund is applicable.
  • If canceled 3-6 days before the scheduled date, a 50% refund will be issued.
  • If canceled less than 3 days before the scheduled date, no refund will be issued.

2.5. Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance policies are non-refundable once issued.
  • Claims related to trip cancellations, delays, or medical emergencies must be processed directly with the insurance provider.

3. Refund Process

3.1. Refund Timeframe

  • Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days after cancellation is approved.
  • If the refund requires additional approvals (from hotels, airlines, or third-party providers), the timeline may extend up to 30 business days.

3.2. Mode of Refund

  • Payments made via credit/debit card will be refunded to the same account.
  • Payments made via UPI, net banking, or cash will be refunded via bank transfer (subject to identity verification).
  • Payments made through third-party travel platforms (such as travel agents or booking portals) will be refunded according to their policies.

4. Modifications & Rescheduling

  • Customers may request modifications to their bookings (dates, destinations, accommodations) up to 7 days before the departure date.
  • Any modification is subject to availability and may involve additional costs.
  • Rescheduling fees may apply based on airline, hotel, or transport provider policies.

5. No-Show & Early Departures

  • No-show: If a traveler fails to show up at the designated departure point, no refund will be issued.
  • Early departure: If a traveler chooses to leave the tour before its completion, no partial refund will be provided.

6. Force Majeure & Special Conditions

Rakshit Travels is not liable for cancellations due to unforeseen events such as:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.)
  • Government restrictions (lockdowns, travel bans, political unrest)
  • Pandemics or health emergencies
  • Flight/train cancellations due to operational issues

In such cases, refund policies will be determined based on the situation and service provider policies.
